Powering the Next Era of Mobility:

From Early Momentum to Market Maturity

April 14-15, 2026 | Athens, GA

Hosted by GNEM and the University of Georgia

The electric and autonomous mobility transition has entered a new phase. After several years defined by rapid capital inflows, manufacturing expansion, and charging deployment, the focus is shifting from acceleration to disciplined execution. Across Georgia and the Southeast, infrastructure buildout, policy coordination, and industry investment have created measurable momentum. However, the next challenge is ensuring these systems perform reliably at scale in a maturing and fragmented U.S. and global market.

The Summit will examine what market maturity looks like in practice: across reliable charging, grid integration, workforce readiness, autonomous deployment, and advanced manufacturing. The 2026 Summit convenes Georgia’s  industry leaders, utilities, policymakers, researchers, manufacturers, and community partners to define what maturity looks like in practice and what it will take to get there.
