Area governors, power company executives and university presidents recently established the Mississippi-Alabama-Georgia Network for Evolving Transportation, or MAGNET for short — a regional economic development initiative aimed at leveraging the Southeastern U.S. automotive vehicle and battery industry to stimulate economic development and job growth.

The University of Georgia and automotive giant Kia Georgia have a partnership that continues to advance several of the state’s workforce development initiatives and overall economic growth. 

The Georgia Network for Electric Mobility (GNEM) is pleased to announce that the Georgia Automotive Manufacturers Association (GAMA) has joined the network as its first non-profit/start-up partner and member.
