The University of Georgia has developed a strong interdisciplinary capability in future mobility through complementary expertise in transportation systems, artificial intelligence, distributed mobility intelligence, energy and environmental systems, infrastructure, robotics, and advanced production. Faculty efforts are aligned around shared mobility challenges, integrating sensing, data-driven modeling, and AI to understand system behavior and support cooperative, multi-agent mobility under real-world constraints. These efforts are complemented by research that integrates mobility with energy and environmental considerations and emphasizes deployable, scalable solutions that inform practice, workforce development, and policy.
